Healthcare Governance Limited, in association with ECRI Institute (Europe) and Loughborough University Business School offers an approved short course in healthcare governance. The course covers the principal systems of healthcare governance, including corporate, clinical, research, information and integrated governance. Significant consideration is given to the role of boards of directors and an introduction to the internationally acclaimed Carver Policy Governance model is provided. Subject to certain requirements, the course may provide exemption from module 1 of the postgraduate programme in healthcare governance at Loughborough University Business School (see below). Stuart Emslie also developed and currently leads a part-time post-graduate programme in healthcare governance at Loughorough University Business School. The programme leads to either a postgraduate certificate or diploma through a series of taught modules, or, with the additional production of a suitable dissertation, the degree of Master of Science in healthcare governance. It will appeal to board members, senior managers and clinicians, independent assurance providers, policy makers, regulators and anyone else with a keen professional interest in the myriad systems of governance in healthcare.
